Eric Gonzalez is a Calgary-based director and producer known for delivering impactful stories on an international scale.

From his early days directing weekly documentaries in high school, Eric has built a career collaborating with major brands like the Wall Street Journal, ESPN/X-Games, and Swatch, as well as trusted broadcasters like CBC. Through his production company, he has worked as a field producer and director of photography, bringing high-stakes stories to life with nuance and impact.

Eric’s recent work includes directing RBC Spotlight, an eight-episode series for CBC’s Olympic coverage during the Paris 2024 Olympics, and field-producing over 110 athlete interviews for the Beijing 2022 Olympics. In these projects, he created a space where athletes felt at ease sharing their stories, capturing moments of vulnerability and resilience that resonated deeply with audiences.
